How the Program Works

How does the program work?

We partner with TBAS locally—and other banks on mainland US and Hawaii—to help make small business lending more accessible. You work directly with your bank, and they work with us to help approve and support your loan.

Is the program right for me?

If your business has fewer than 750 employees and is based in or connected to the American Samoan economy, this program was designed with you in mind. From startups to established businesses, we help unlock access to commercial lending.

How do I participate?

Start by talking to TBAS or your local bank. If you're ready to apply for a loan, they'll guide you through the process. If you're not quite there yet, the American Samoa Small Business Development Center (AS-SBDC) can help you get the training and support you need to prepare.
